We are seeking professional and reliable figure models to support our community of artists. At Studio Incamminati. We prioritize the tradition of working from life to master the human form. As a figure model, you serve as the living reference for students, providing the essential foundation for their technical development.

This role requires the ability to maintain physical stillness and focus for extended periods while holding poses that range from short, dynamic gestures to long-term multi-week poses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Posing: Hold specific poses (seated, standing, or reclining) for durations ranging from 1 minute to 20 minutes at a time.
• Professionalism: Arrive early to prepare and ensure sessions begin and end on schedule.
• Collaboration: Work with the instructor or monitors to establish poses that are aesthetically interesting and anatomically challenging.
• Consistency: Maintain the exact same pose across multiple sessions for long-term projects (body positioning, limb placement, and gaze).

Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to remain remarkably still and maintain gesture for the duration of a pose.
• Punctuality: Reliable transportation and a strict adherence to time.
• Body Awareness: An understanding of how to use your body to create dynamic lines and interesting compositions.
• Comfort: Must be comfortable working in a professional, respectful studio environment (nude and/or clothed, depending on the session).
• Openness: We welcome models of all ages, genders, and body types. Diversity in the human form is essential to a well-rounded artistic education.

Physical Demands & Environment

• Models must be able to hold poses for the duration of the pose. Pose lengths range from 1-20 minutes. Modifications can be made to accommodate the comfort of the models.
• The studio provides heaters, fans, padding, robes, and cushions for comfort during breaks.
• A typical “long pose” session follows a rhythm of 20 minutes of posing followed by a 7-minute break.

Compensation & Perks

• Pay: $17.50 per hour  
• Environment: A creative, academic, and highly respectful atmosphere.
• Portfolio: Opportunities to see and receive digital copies of finished works (subject to artist permission).
