3-Week Summer intensive
Instructors: Steve Early, Stephen Bush, Kat Haverkamp, More TBD
July 6th – July 27th, Mon-Fri (16 total days)
9am – 4pm
Tuition: $1975
This intensive three-week workshop is designed to provide students with an immersive introduction to the training approach of Studio Incamminati through concentrated study with several members of the school’s core faculty. Participants will experience the structured, observational, methodology that defines the institution’s curriculum while working in a focused studio environment.
Instruction will address a range of skill levels through the use of two live models: a short-pose model for students concentrating on foundational skills such as proportion, gesture, value, and block-in techniques, and a long-pose model for students prepared to develop work through the intermediate and advanced stages of a drawing or painting. This dual structure allows participants to strengthen essential fundamanetals while also engageing in sustained study of form, color, and finish.
Teaching will be conducted in both charcoal and painting media, emphasizing the principles of representational drawing and painting that underpin Studio Incamminati’s training philosophy, Faculty instructors – including Stephen Early, Stephen Bush, Kat Haverkamp, and additional members of the Studio Incamminati teaching staff – will provide demonstrations individual critiques, and group instruction throughout the program.
The workshop is intended for dedicated students seeking a rigorous studio experience, whether as an introduction to the school’s methods or as an opportunity to deepen existing skills within a concentrated time frame.
