About the Bennett Schmidt Lecture Series
In their lifelong pursuit of art, artists often focus on the “hows” of acquiring skills and knowledge, but not the “whys,” “wheres” and “whats.” “Why do you create?” “Where do you apply your skills?” “What images are vital to produce?” In this series of evening talks, internationally renowned thought leaders discuss personal creative philosophies in a thought-provoking conversation on professional practice.
The Bennett-Schmidt Higher Aim of Art Lectures series is supported by art collectors and philanthropists, Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt Founders of The Bennett Collection and The Bennett Prize.
