Painterly Figure Drawing in Charcoal

Charcoal figure study is the core to the Studio Incamminati’s introductory curriculum. The medium lends itself to painterly mass drawing and is easily and quickly corrected, making it a perfect channel to learn the fundamentals in a way that prepares one for painting. In this class, Studio Incamminati Fellow Scott Woyak will walk you through techniques for seeing, constructing, and correcting the figure with a focus on gesture, proportion, light and shadow, and relative values.
About the Artist
Scott Woyak is a graduate of Studio Incamminati. In 2022 he was awarded a Studio Incamminati fellowship grant.
Workshops Payment and Refund Policies
Due to limited class space, tuition is non-refundable. A credit for tuition may be issued up to
30 days before the first workshop class. No credit will be issued after that time. Credits are valid from one year of issue. Registration and enrollment is first-come, first-served with full tuition due at time of registration.
Continuing Education and Emerging Artists School-year Program Payment and Refund Policies
Due to limited class space, tuition must be paid in full at time of registration. A $100 fee is applied for cancellation up to the first class. No refunds will be issued after the first class.
