Dan has garnered numerous awards including the 2001 Grand Prize from the American Society of Portrait Artists, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; two Ethel Lorraine Bernstein Memorial Awards from the Corcoran School of Art; the 2003 Best of Show in Southwest Art magazine’s “Artists to Watch” exhibition. He has twice been an artist in residence at the invitation of the Forbes Foundation. Exhibition catalogs featuring his work include: “Self Portraits, John Pence Gallery” and “The American Chinese Oil Painting Artist League (ACOPAL)” published for several museums in China during its tour in 2012. Dan Thompson is a founding member of the Grand Central Academy in New York and has held teaching positions at Parsons The New School for Design, The New York Academy of Art, the Water Street Atelier, the Janus Collaborative School of Art and the Art Students League of New York.

Kerry was one of four studio artists chosen by The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for the initial Face to Face: The Craniofacial Program Portrait Project. He was a finalist in the 2008 American Artist Magazine self-portrait competition and had work accepted into The 2008 Biennial: Contemporary American Realism at the Fort Wayne Museum. His work and teaching methods have been featured in American Artist magazine and exhibited in numerous group exhibitions and private collections. Kerry joined Studio Incamminati in 2002 after studying with Nelson Shanks at the Art Students League in New York.
