Natalie Italiano
Artist Statement
Natalie Italiano is a contemporary realist painter whose work focuses on portraiture and still life. She began her formal art training at age 19 as an apprentice to Nelson Shanks and continued her studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Studio Incamminati, and hold degrees in Psychology from Rowan University and Art Education from Moore college of Art. She is a founding instructor and core faculty member of Studio Incamminati.
Italiano is a Signature Member of the Portrait Society of America and has received numerous awards from this and other national organizations including the Oil Painters of America and the Art Renewal Center. Notable portrait commissions include the Honorable Judge Anthony De Fino of Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Dr. James George, MD of Inspira Medical Center, Mullica Hill, NJ and Timothy McKenna, retired principal of Central High School of Philadelphia.
