Color is why I came to studio Incamminati – the palette. The use of color as its taught here makes the paintings sing!

This was a great course; if it is repeated I will definitely do it again. It was a tremendous help in getting me unstuck from my routine with my current palette and has really charged my work and my enthusiasm for figurative painting.

Learning how to rapidly put the whole figure on paper was a revelation and resulted in immediate improvements in my drawing. Measuring was minimized and the technique of moving around the figure without spending too much time on one area resulted in more proportional drawings...No more legs or torsos that were too long that somehow did not fit on the paper...Built confidence in being able to render the figure.

[the instructor] sees the potential in us and wants us to make the best work possible at that time – she has the best pep talks (art related pep talks).

This was a whole new approach for me and keeping the paint application thin at first was something that I should have been taught years ago. I’m so glad to have gained this knowledge from your school.

Amazing! Demos were very well illustrated and so, so helpful (I’ve sat through countless demos that weren’t helpful as the instructor didn’t talk their way through… so Bonus!!)

This class was a huge highlight in my week. In person classes are fantastic and the facility is beautiful. I feel so lucky to have landed here. It is an excellent place to be.

Workshops and NIGHT Classes

Workshops, summer intensives, and night classes are one-off educational experiences that concentrate on a single skill or approach, and which do not require prior training. Participants range from avid beginners wishing to learn new skills to working professionals seeking to sharpen their approach; there are even classes for high school students. Taught by Studio Incamminati instructors and vetted visiting instructors, workshops take place throughout the year, either on site at Studio Incamminati’s Philadelphia location or at selected locations around the United States. Whereas workshops are day-long back-to-back sessions that run for two to five consecutive days, the intensive courses and night classes run once a week for 5 to 10 weeks. In some cases, pro-rating may be possible.

If you are a professional artist who wishes to conduct a class at Studio Incamminati studios, or are an aspiring artist with a specific programming request, please contact: info@studioincamminati.org
