Spend five immersive days exploring Alla Prima Still Life painting in a supportive, hands-on environment. This workshop is designed for all skill levels—from complete beginners to experienced painters—focusing on technique, creativity, and confidence.
What You’ll Learn:
- Choosing and using materials effectively
- Developing a color palette and understanding color relationships
- Composition, lighting, and value-keying
- Paint handling, brushwork, and layering
- Problem-solving and refining your own painting style
- Personalized guidance to answer your specific questions
Workshop Schedule:
- Day 1: Morning demo (3 hours) + first hands-on still life painting
- Day 2 & 3: Guided sessions to create two more simple still lifes, with plenty of individualized instruction
- Day 4: Morning setup of a slightly more complex still life; continue painting through the day
- Day 5: Focus on completing your most ambitious piece, refining techniques, and exploring creative choices
By the end of the workshop, you will have created up to five still life paintings, gained practical skills, and built confidence to continue painting on your own.
Workshops Payment and Refund Policies
Due to limited class space, tuition is non-refundable. A credit for tuition may be issued up to
30 days before the first workshop class. No credit will be issued after that time. Credits are valid from one year of issue. Registration and enrollment is first-come, first-served with full tuition due at time of registration.
